Trócaire Talk
We welcomed local Trócaire volunteer, Bernadette, to our school on Monday for a very informative talk about this year’s Lenten Campaign. Bernadette showed the children photographs of a family in Rwanda who have been deeply affected by climate change.
Children heard about the impact too much rain can have on villages there. They also heard about Uwamahoro, a mother struggling to feed her family on just 51p per day.
We were very moved by everything we heard and will keep the hardworking families of Rwanda in our prayers during Lent.
Children have been raising money for Trócaire this Lent by putting spare change into our class Trócaire boxes and buying tickets for our Easter Egg raffles. Little things that we can do can make a big difference to people like Uwamahoro and her family.
