Primary 4, 5, 6 and 7 had a school visit from Libraries NI. Lorna and Lauren from Newcastle Library talked about libraries in Northern Ireland, how to join the library and how the book borrowing system works.
Lorna talked to the children about The Big Summer Read and the theme this year which is “grow your story tree”. She explained how the story tree works, the different challenges and prizes to be won. Lauren talked about clubs that are regularly held at the library after school and at the weekends.
