Today the P5 class went to Silent Valley as part of our World Around Us topic - Water. What a day we had, not only did we get to see the reservoir, we got a tour of the museum, saw the Mourne wall, viewed ‘Watertown’ and the houses the builders of the damn lived in. Anna, our tour guide, brought us on a nature walk too. She told us all about the red squirrels and red kites who find their home in the Valley and informed us about a lot of the floral and fauna in the area. It was really fascinating. To top it all off, we stayed dry on a lovely winter day!
