Roald Dahl Day
On Thursday 13th September our Primary Seven class tuned in to a live broadcast from The Cambridge Theatre (home of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s production of Matilda) to celebrate 100 years since the birth of Roald Dahl. It was a marvellous event and we were just one of thousands of schools across the world tuning in. We watched an all-singing, all-dancing performance from the cast of Matilda, The Musical, drew-along with Quentin Blake, were shown behind the scenes of Steven Spielberg’s summer blockbuster 'The BFG', took a peek at the archives with Rachel White from the Roald Dahl Museum, listened to an interview with Roald Dahl’s daughter Lucy and much more. Afterwards, we completed a number of activities based on Dahl’s amazing stories. Happy Birthday Roald Dahl!
