P.6 thoroughly enjoyed their World Around Us topic, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. As part of the topic, they visited Castlewellan Recycling Centre and learnt how to recycle properly and learnt about the amount of waste going to the landfill. They completed carbon footprint promises and are aiming to reduce their carbon footprints as much as possible. They also decided to reuse tin cans and transformed them into wonderful pencil pots - check out the pictures!
