Children in P4-P7 had a visit this week from Noel from Arc 21. Noel delivered workshops in each class to teach children about the importance of the three R’s: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
They found out which bins to use for which items and even got to experience the smells of a landfill site. Yuck!
Primary Four children made lovely bookmarks. Primary Five made pencil cases out of cereal boxes. Primary Six made wallets from old juice cartons and Primary Seven took part in an electronic quiz about recycling on a global scale.
It was a very enjoyable morning with children and adults learning lots to help them become recycling heroes.
