The children had an exciting ICT lesson creating their own digital animation books using the app Book Creator, based on the nursery rhyme Polly Had a Dolly. They explored how to use the iPad camera and learned about different camera shots, including close-up, mid shot, long shot, high angle, low angle and tilted angles. Working in small groups, the children recreated scenes from the rhyme using a doll and took photographs using a variety of camera angles. They then added their images to Book Creator, creating pages and simple narration to bring their stories to life. The lesson helped develop creativity, teamwork and digital animation skills.
