This week the P5 class have been exploring a loan box from the WWII museum in Belfast. This is to go along with our World Around Us topic. It was a great opportunity to see and feel what it would have been like to be a child in WWII Belfast. We got to play board games from that era, dress up as an evacuee, see what a week’s ration looked like and see many photographs from that era. Have a look and see what we got up to.
We also planted some carrots and lettuce, a little insight into growing your own crops during war time. Fingers crossed they grow!!
