Mrs Helen King officially retired on 31st August after 22 years of dedicated teaching service to the pupils of Carnacaville. We held a whole school Mass in the new Sports Hall on Wednesday 23rd November to celebrate her time in St. Joseph's. Helen was accompanied by her husband Barry, Daughter Riona and Son in law Damien. Fr. Crossey officiated and the school choir, lead by Miss Griffin and Miss Hayes provided the singing and Ashleigh O'Hare P7 was the flute soloist.
A heartfelt thank you for your generous donations to the retirement gift for Mrs King. Helen was presented with a travel voucher for a weekend away, which is something she will really enjoy.
Helen will be truly missed by staff, pupils and parents and we wish her every happiness and good health in her retirement.
