Last weekend Lochlann Steele Primary 7, competed in The Irish BMX Championships in Dublin.
After making it through the heats, he made it to the semi finals and got through to the final! A massive achievement for his very first year racing BMX.
Many of the other competitors in the final regularly represent Ireland in the World Championships and the eventual winner on the day is ranked number 4 in the World, so Lochlann was up against very stiff competition.
Lochlann is now officially ranked 8th in Ireland and qualifies to represent Ireland in the World Championship.
