Catholic Schools Week in Carnacaville
Normal Lives, Called to Holiness
Every Catholic school is called to be a place where each child is called to holiness. Here in Saint Joseph’s, we model love, kindness and care towards ourselves, others, God and creation.
During Catholic Schools Week this week, every morning began with Mr McCann reading a thought for the day to the whole school. Children experienced learning activities in their classrooms based on the daily themes of speaking and listening to God through prayer, being a loving and supportive friend, helping others and being brave when it is difficult, and living justly and joyfully.
On Wednesday, we celebrated the important role our grandparents play in our lives, caring for us, supporting and encouraging us to achieve our dreams, with a special whole school event.
Grandparents were treated to rhymes, poems and songs from the children all while enjoying some tea and cake served up by our P7s. It was a truly wonderful morning.
A big Carnacaville ‘Thank you!’ to all our lovely grandparents and to Mrs Stuart for baking the delicious cake.
