Today at assembly we talked Primary 4 getting ready for Holy Communion and Service of Enrolment that took place on Monday. Primary 7 also had their Sacrament of Confirmation on Friday. A massive well done to both classes - your work and effort that went into both were outstanding and the whole school is very proud of you all.
We love to recognise all our wonderful achievements throughout the school. This week we had -
Lucy, Elise and Noah from Primary 5 who took part in a speech and drama festival with Mourne Stars Speech and Drama Club. They were commended for their efforts and Lucy proudly displayed her medal and certificate for all to see.
Phoebe, Fiadh, Denise, and Isla from Primary 7 won their Mid Ulster youth league U11 championship. This was additionally celebrated as it was a first time ever win for Newcastle girls football. Well done on your win!
Cillian from Primary 6 received a medal for overall best competitor in the U12 boys category at a swimming competition in Craigavon. This was a huge achievement as he competed in a number of different swimming styles on the day and stood out in all in order to achieve his medal. Fantastic!
We had many stars and pupils of the week. Well done to you all. You all work so hard and are so dedicated. Congratulations!
We had 1 birthday to celebrate this week. Double school celebrations for Emily in Primary 2 who also received Star of the Week. What a wonderful week for Emily! Happy birthday!
