There was many Irish dancers to celebrate this week, following a feis in Bryansford. Niamh, Fiadh and Teagan came in jingling with many medals and trophies to show. Well done on your achievements girls. You must put in a lot of hard work. Cara, Cadhla, Sophia, Erin, Ayla, Clara and Merryn also had lots of silverware to present. What a talented bunch you are. We hope to see your talents shine bright on Green Day next month. Good luck as you advance onto the Northern Ireland Championships.
Denise, Cliona and Phoebe in P7 all play netball for Newcastle. They recently represented their club in Gilford, where they came 2nd, after drawing in their final match. Congratulations, girls. We love to see you getting involved in sports outside school.
Rose in P5 and Merryn in P4 shared their recent music achievements with us. Merryn achieved a grade in singing and Rose received a grade with the violin. Congratulations, girls! You both have a beautiful and creative gift.
Cara Donnelly won our in school competition on Environmental Youth Speak. She will go ahead to represent our school in a regional contest. Well done, Cara. Your speech and delivery were fantastic, and can be watched on our school website. Conor McLaughlin, Cullen Valentine, Leonie O’Hare, Ryan Rafferty, Abbie Owens and Saorlaith Murray all took part in the event and they all represented themselves brilliantly, showing their ability and bravery in public speaking. Thank you for sharing this with us.
We also had many Pupils of the Week and Stars of the Week. Well done to you all.
Lastly, we had 4 birthdays to celebrate. We hope you all enjoyed your day.
