Our first assembly of the New Year and it was so nice to welcome everyone back after our Christmas break.
Freya, Fia, Phoebe and Denise in P7 took part in some soccer competitions recently, where they experienced some great success. Phoebe and Denise won the U10 girls tournament, with Denise scoring the winning goal. Freya and Fia also won their tournament. Congratulations, girls.
Lewis, Daniel, Ethan, Ciaran, Jack and Matthew in P6 and P7 also had a football final over the Christmas break. They narrowly missed out on a win, in a match that went to penalties.
Many children from SOKOL took part in a gymnastics display, were they all received a medal for their performance. Congratulations to you all, we know gymnastics takes a lot of dedication.
Grace Neeson also brought in a lovely scarf she made over the Christmas break. It is beautiful Grace, well done.
Cillian Passmore in P6, took part in a swimming competition and he came in with many medals. He trains so hard, swimming three times a week. Your hard work is really paying off Cillian.
Nora and Rose Malone both had accolades to show us. Nora won 2nd prize in a recent art competition, where she won a £50 voucher. A huge well done, Nora. Rose also completed a flute exam before Christmas and she was awarded a distinction for her talent. Congratulations, Rose.
We’ve also had some new children join us this term. Luca in P6 and August in Reception. You are both very welcome. We hope you feel at home in Carnacaville.
As we always we celebrated our Pupils of the Week and Stars of the Week. Well done, to you all! We love hearing about your achievements in class.
