As part of our Mini-beasts topic the children in Reception Class have been learning about the life cycle of butterflies. We had a Butterfly Garden in our classroom and observed Painted Lady butterflies emerge from their cocoons. Later, after feeding the butterflies, we enjoyed the excitement of releasing them into our school Biodiversity Garden to continue their amazing life cycle.
